Politics What does it take for Americans to want to change presidents? I was thinking this as I was reading a newspaper article today describing some of the more recent attacks by Iraqis on American military personnel. George W. Bush obviously faked the information he had on an alleged Iraqi weapons build up. Americans and British people are scouring the country and can find virtually no evidence of this. Obviously the American troops are not being looked upon as a Godsend by a lot of Iraqis in all parts of the country as they are shooting and throwing hand grenades at them. There seems to be at least one attack a day reported of Iraqi violence directed at American and their allies. How long does Bush want to occupy Iraq; How long will the American people tolerate it?
Then there’s the economy. It’s in terrible shape and Bush doesn’t seem to have any idea of what to do about it, aside from giving tax breaks to the rich. The country’s all screwed up and Bush’s approval rating is very high. Why do Americans tolerate leaders like him? That’s what I’m thinking today.
